( for the hypocrites.)

Whether you (O Muhammad SAW) ask forgiveness for them (hypocrites) or ask not forgiveness for them (and even) if you ask seventy times for their forgiveness Allah will not forgive them, because they have disbelieved in Allah and His Messenger (Muhammad SAW). And Allah guides not those people who are Fasiqun (rebellious, disobedient to Allah).

It is equal to them whether you (Muhammad SAW) ask forgiveness or ask not forgiveness for them. Verily, Allah guides not the people who are the Fasiqin (rebellious, disobedient to Allah).

He said Soon will I ask my Lord for forgiveness for you for he is indeed Oft Forgiving, Most Merciful.

Are you asking for forgiveness?

And ask your Lord for forgiveness, and repent to Him. My Lord is Merciful and Loving.

Should they not repent and ask Him for forgiveness? God is All forgiving and All merciful.

They said O our father! ask forgiveness of our faults for us, surely we were sinners.

They said, O our father! Ask forgiveness for our sins we were truly in the wrong.

Ignore this affair, O Joseph and you, O woman, ask forgiveness for your sin, for you were surely errant.

O Joseph, pass this over! (O wife), ask forgiveness for thy sin, for truly thou hast been at fault!
