He chastised them for being noisy.

and we shall not be chastised.'

except for our first death, and are we not chastised?

Except our previous death? And we shall not be chastised?

So We chastised them. The desolate locations of both communities lie on a well known highway.

They also said, 'We are more abundant in wealth and children, and we shall not be chastised.'

They always said We have more wealth and children than you have, and we shall not be chastised.

So call thou not upon another god with God, lest thou shouldst be one of those that are chastised.

So He chastised them with setting hypocrisy in their hearts until the Day they shall meet Him, because they kept back from Allah that which they had promised Him, and because they were wont to lie.

Then Allah caused His tranquillity to descend upon His Messenger and upon the believers, and He sent down hosts whom you did not see, and chastised those who disbelieved. Such is the recompense of those who deny the Truth.
