We gave Abraham aforetime his rectitude for We knew him

Say 'Surely I possess no power over you, either for hurt or for rectitude.'

And certainly We gave to Ibrahim his rectitude before, and We knew him fully well.

guiding to rectitude. We believe in it, and we will not associate with our Lord anyone.

And assuredly We vouchsafed un to lbrahim his rectitude aforetime, and him We had ever known.

We bestowed aforetime on Abraham his rectitude of conduct, and well were We acquainted with him.

And some of us have surrendered, and some of us have deviated. Those who have surrendered sought rectitude

Then said he who believed, 'My people, follow me, and I will guide you in the way of rectitude.

And he who believed said O my people! follow me, I shall guide you to the path of rectitude,

Guiding Unto rectitude wherefore we have believed therein, and we shall by no means associate with our Lord anyone.

It guides to rectitude, so we have believed in it and we will never associate anyone with our Lord.

The person endowed with faith said My people, follow me I shall direct you to the Path of Rectitude.

And he who had faith said, O my people! Follow me I will guide you to the way of rectitude.

which guides to rectitude. Hence, we have believed in it and we will never ascribe any partner to our Lord.

The one who had believed said, O my people, follow me, and I will guide you to the path of rectitude.

And so we know not whether evil is intended for those in the earth, or whether their Lord intends for them rectitude.

Among us some are Muslims and some of us are perverse. Those who submit to Allah it is they who pursue rectitude.

When the youths took refuge in the Cave saying, 'Our lord, give us mercy from Thee, and furnish us with rectitude in our affair.'

When the youths sought refuge in the Cave, they said 'Lord give us from Your Mercy and furnish us with rectitude in our affair'

And of us some are Muslims, and of us some are deviators. Then whosoever hath embraced Islam such have endeavoured after a Path of rectitude.

Among us are those who are submitting, and among us are the compromisers. As for those who have submitted it is they who pursue rectitude.

When those youths sought refuge in the Cave and said Our Lord! Grant us mercy from Yourself and provide for us rectitude in our affairs.

When the youths took refuge in the Cave, they said, Our Lord! Grant us a mercy from Yourself, and help us on to rectitude in our affair.

without adding , God willing. And when you forget, remember your Lord, and say, Maybe my Lord will guide me to something more akin to rectitude than this.

Without (adding), if God may please and think of your Lord in ease you forget, and say Perhaps my Lord will show me a nearer way to rectitude.

but only, 'If God will' and mention thy Lord, when thou forgettest, and say, 'It may be that my Lord will guide me unto something nearer to rectitude than this.')

unless (you add) 'if Allah wills' And remember your Lord when you forget and say 'It may be that my Lord will guide me to something nearer to rectitude than this'

But in America's early days, we lived in what historians call a culture of character, where we still, at that point, valued people for their inner selves and their moral rectitude.

unless Allah should will it. And should you forget (and make such a statement), remember your Lord and say I expect my Lord to guide me to what is nearer to rectitude than this.

No compulsion is there in religion. Rectitude has become clear from error. So whosoever disbelieves in idols and believes in God, has laid hold of the most firm handle, unbreaking God is All hearing, All knowing.

There is no compulsion in religion rectitude has become distinct from error. So one who disavows fake deities and has faith in Allah has held fast to the firmest handle for which there is no breaking and Allah is all hearing, all knowing.

No constraint is there in the religion surely rectitude hath become manifestly distinguished from the error. Whosoever then disbelieveth in the devil and believeth in Allah, hath of a surety rain hold of the firm cable whereof there is no giving way. And Allah is Hearing, Knowing.

My people, today the kingdom is yours, and you are supreme in the land. But if Allah's chastisement were to come upon you, who will come to our help? Pharaoh said I only counsel what I consider right I only direct you to the Path of Rectitude.

O my people, today the kingdom is yours, who are masters in the land. But who will help us, against the might of God, if it comes upon us?' Said Pharaoh, 'I only let you see what I see I only guide you in the way of rectitude.'

O My people! yours is the the dominion to day ye being overcomers in the land but who will succour us aginst the scourge of God if it cometh Unto us! Fir'awn said I shew you only that which see, and I guide you but to the path of rectitude.

O my people! Today sovereignty belongs to you, and you are dominant in the land. But who will save us from Allah s punishment should it overtake us? Pharaoh said, I just point out to you what I see to be advisable for you , and I guide you only to the way of rectitude.

And know that verily among you is the apostle of Allah. Were he to obey you in many affairs, ye would surely be in trouble but Allah hath endeared belief to you and hath made it fair seeming in your hearts, and hath rendered detestable Unto you infidelity and wickedness and disobedience. These! they are the men of rectitude.

I shall turn from My signs those who wax proud in the earth unjustly though they see every sign, they will not believe in it, and though they see the way of rectitude they will not take it for a way, and though they see the way of error, they will take it for a way. That, because they have cried lies to Our signs and heeded them not.'

I will turn away from My revelations those who behave proudly on earth without justification. Even if they see every sign, they will not believe in it and if they see the path of rectitude, they will not adopt it for a path and if they see the path of error, they will adopt it for a path. That is because they denied Our revelations, and paid no attention to them.

I will turn away from My communications those who are unjustly proud in the earth and if they see every sign they will not believe in It and if they see the way of rectitude they do not take It for a way, and if they see the way of error. they take it for a way this is because they rejected Our communications and were heedless of them.

I shall turn away from My signs those who are big with pride on the earth, without justice, and although they may see every sign, they will not believe therein and if they see the path of rectitude they will not take it as their path, and if they see the path of error they will take it for their path. This is because they belied Our signs, and they were ever negligent thereof.

Soon I shall turn away from My signs those who are unduly arrogant in the earth even though they should see every sign, they will not believe in it, and if they see the way of rectitude they will not take it as their way, and if they see the way of error they will take it as their way. That is because they deny Our signs and are oblivious to them.

I will turn those away from My signs who behave unjustly with arrogance in the land so that even though they see all the signs they will not believe in them and if they see the path of rectitude, will not take it to be a way and if they see the way of error take it to be the (right) path. This is so for they have called Our messages lies, and have been heedless of them.
