In Europe, France that heavily depends on nuclear power generation,

Renewable or recyclable materials are 25 percent of the total, and growing rapidly.

And this is an ongoing research. This is not rocket science.

So my premise here is that nuclear energy puts out more carbon dioxide, puts out more air pollutants, enhances mortality more and takes longer to put up than real renewable energy systems, namely wind, solar, geothermal power, hydro tidal wave power.

So here's a summary so far

And, ultimately, the arithmetic problem isn't going to go away.

They all have a small power per unit area, and we have to live with that fact.

In 2010, renewables other than big hydro, particularly wind and solar cells, got 151 billion dollars of private investment, and they actually surpassed the total installed capacity of nuclear power in the world by adding 60 billion watts in that one year.

The global economy grows exponentially, at about 3 a year, consuming increasing amounts of non renewable fuels, minerals and metals, as well as renewable resources

I've got a hydro conversion at a watermill that I own.

The last person who was in favor made the premise that we don't have enough alternative renewable resources.

Ray Kurzweil and all the other talks we know that the stick is going up exponentially.

They have flown in the past, but without saving capabilities, without batteries.

Well, I think out ahead of us a few decades is peak gas, and beyond that, peak renewables.

So let me run you through a few ideas.

Renewables is one of the leading ideas for how we could get off our 90 percent fossil fuel habit.

Well, the options are, I'd say, these three power renewables, and recognizing that they need to be close to country sized other people's renewables, so we could go back and talk very politely to the people in the top left hand side of the diagram and say,

However, especially where regulators are now instead rewarding cutting your bills, the investments are shifting radically toward efficiency, demand response, cogeneration, renewables and ways to knit them all together reliably with less transmission and little or no bulk electricity storage.

So by this particular metric, nuclear power isn't as intrusive as renewables.

And it would be great if we could make our energy usage renewable, where as we're using the energy, we're creating it at the same pace, and I really hope we can get there.

The second way that we reduce our emissions is by purchasing renewable power to power our operations.

If we take a look at electricity, currently, renewable energy only accounts for 3.2 of the total energy generation.
