Information studies a lot of things. It studies social science like things.

It could put technology companies out of business?

A few months ago, a student showed me an article on the top twelve IT skills.

Technological innovation brought about the rapid progress of the information industry.

Banks, Wall Street, corporate records, government funds all of it.

You know what's protectable is in the contract, that is you specify it or somebody making you sign it or offering you a contract or an NDA specifies it.

And we'll hear some talks later in the conference specifically about that.

We'll see the same thing in the economic recession we're having now.

There's a basic, profound acceleration of this evolutionary process.

For contract and non disclosure agreements, what is protectable is whatever you and the person who is going to do the deal with you have defined in the contract and is enforceable in the law.

We've got to show these kids interesting stuff.

A good example on Reddit is the voting click that vote, it doesn't reload the whole page or submit a form, it just sends that vote to the server and then the server records it.

They used it to build an information superhighway, gain infrastructure that enables them to participate in the information technology revolution, and to create jobs in their economy.

They will share their technology with us and we will share our intel on terrorists.

Now, this is the same concept that's been used today in tons and tons of games.

In post conflict situations we don't just need Doctors Without Borders, we need Bricklayers Without Borders, to rebuild the skill set.

Now, the third curve is information technology.

Info activism means having access to technology and being able to use technology to create and disseminate information in a very democratic and participatory way

I took this votech class in high school, wood working.

Two months later and this is now documented in the Information Technology for International Development journal that accents had changed and were remarkably close to the neutral British accent in which I had trained the speech to text synthesizer.

But what we're actually seeing is that we actually more than keep up with it.

To which these employees would be moving.

So the underlying message of this video remains very powerful even today.

Those are the people with titles and expertise, who own the company are spokespeople for the movement.

So the same sort of a process, without the proteins, is happening on the inside of their pipes.

We need to support that.

The analogies were getting crazy that information had sell by dates, that people had misused information that wasn't dated properly and could really make an effect on the stock market, on corporate values, etc.

But more and more traffic is flowing through shared service platforms we call internet exchange points.

So how do we actually make that a more generalizable effort?

Other transport efficiency, renewable technology, carbon capture and sequestration.

CEO's of American corporations are paid several times their Japanese counterparts.

ACTA is the result of their lobbying within the governments that participate in the negotiations.

Whether it's by finding those innovations that can access the capital markets, government itself, or partner with major corporations, there is unbelievable opportunity for innovation.

We train pharmaceutical technicians for the pharmacy industry, we train medical technicians for the medical industry, and we train chemical technicians for companies

Those other things are called non state actors.
