Intrepus stock is being absolutely pummeled

Now what's our mantra of this day and age I wonder?

And I think this is very obvious to you, but let me write that down.

Perhaps only at a discount.

This is the book value for a share.

It's classic pump and dump.

This is the difference between the two.

And that's a bit of an arbitrary notion.

How did the stock offering go?

It's not going to the company.

And the equity holders get wiped out, the old equity holders.

Trading was slow today after yesterday's market decline.

They've never made money.

In the last video we saw that if Ben's shoe company's stock prices are trading at 21.50 per share and if Ben's shoe company has 10,000 shares, and we saw that over here on the left....

Then to discount money in the future to the present, we divide it by 1 plus the discount rate so this is a 5 discount rate.

Inherently, when you're talking about value, you have to take the price per share and you multiply it times the number of shares.

And just to kind of tie it a little bit with what we did in the first video, if we have a million shares, the book value of the equity is 5 million, so if we say the book value per share is just going to be this number divided by the million shares I have.

I think that's 10 shares. Well that's my intention.

Maybe it's the Nasdaq or the New York Stock Exchange or some other exchange

So let me switch colors just to ease the monotony.

So why don't you in this unit look at a field example, if we are applying statistical techniques for problems of important significance in stock trading.

And you'll hear people say, well, we can't predict the future.

It's just a faster way of saying

Stocks fell hard.

Stock prices dropped.

Stock prices fell quickly.

Stock prices fell sharply.

Shares of md are up almost 12

Even more, let's say for whatever reason, because not so many people could afford this stock, because just to get in the game, you've gotta put up 100,000 to buy a share.

Anyway.

And it's usually reflected in the stock price.

So really the stock has no value.

The probability of reaching S prime given that we started state S and apply action A.

Well, what's the market cap?

And that tells you that the book value per share is 4.

And we'll do that later on.

They own this equity stake.

It's actually horrible.

So if we believe these numbers, if we believe the books, the book value of the shares is about 3.02 per share.

Our liabilities are still 3 billion.

So what they do is they just take your earnings number and you divide by the number of shares.
