We started something

This is my community.

Sure enough, we all buy into that ... (Laughter)

I'm not trying to feed the habit.

Will is the ability to change something about yourself, or your community to the better.

They give us our identity and a sense of community.

And it's the only college where we don't give a certificate.

Now the next step that happened is within these communities.

It's actually happening now.

We're not all of them, of course, but TED is a community of opinion leaders.

I'm going to share this in my community in Ethiopia.

So they spread out all the census data, and what they found, the guy described to me as a shocker, which is that in 1,997 out of 2,000 communities, women, young women, were making more money than young men.
