Sell, sell, sell.

So the first thing when you sell a widget is you make it and you just sell it.

Right?

But this is, of course, an optimistic scenario. Let's think of other scenarios.

And the reason why they're the sell side is because they're always selling you stuff.

Sales, let's say, this is just G amp A here.

Do you see the person who sold you that dealership?

He's like, you know what, we have to match his prices.

A farmer grows 531 tomatoes and is able to sell 176 of them in three days.

And then the next question, obviously, is who are they selling ads to?

And their value proposition, as even they realized later, was pretty unclear.

In a physical channel, a direct sales force are sales people that work for you directly and typically sell directly to the end user.

He's selling tickets, and so he can't sell negative tickets.

In other words, how are we going to make money?

So what the bank will do is it'll take these shares and then it'll sell it to the general public.

Now everyone in the neighborhood gets scared because this guy, house number two, made an honest effort to sell couldn't sell tried to do a short sale couldn't do a short sale and when the bank auctioned, they actually auctioned it off for less than house number one, it was 250,000.

And let's say I figured out the optimal point is me charging 3 per cupcake.

What do you sell?

I'm a salesperson.

This is the PC guy over here.

You know, the average grocery store today offers you 45,000 products.

Apple did a great series of ads about this.

We call it a select opportunity .

And that's better than what you get out of treasury bonds.

laid off and they can't pay their mortgage anymore and they need to sell their house.

The vending machines are over there.

And maybe I should do a whole video on what sell side means, but since I said the word I'll tell you right now.

Liquidity because you know you're going to get your money back.

Your direct sales people can actually be the one talking to the consumers directly or they could be the ones selling to system integrators,

And so this is what this looks like.

But six months later, then I can go and sell my shares.

We don't sell you the phone, we don't sell you the monthly plan.

The way the TV industrial complex works, is you buy some ads, interrupt some people, that gets you distribution.

This is telling us that if the selling price increases, then this will become a larger negative number so we're going to sell fewer, we're gonna sell a smaller quantity.

My dad sells tractors.

But this time, we have resellers and the resellers don't work for us.

There's a third type of fixed pricing, and that's called volume pricing.

And the few people that are selling them, they're usually selling them when they are distressed in some way.
