So, it would shift the demand curve to the right or it would increase demand.

At any given price point, the quantity demanded will go up.

So you had this whole situation where the population was actually decreasing.

And then more people buy.

And so, for any given price point, the demand would increase.

And there is a little bit of a negative feedback, if price goes up.

So, income goes up, then that increases demand.

And so essentially, it will shift, it will change the entire demand curve.

So income goes down, demand goes up.

It just tells us that if we raise the price of a product, that will lower the quantity demanded for the product.

If we talk about an actual quantity, we should say the quantity demanded.

The pain has lessened a little.

Well, it has to do with Gresham's law of economics.

Well, this is the most expensive bed.

How about fitness?

I pulled my punches a little.

And so I actually raised prices.

It impacts and fragments a larger part of the wilderness, where there is 90 percent reduction of key species,

Or another way to think of it is, is this entire demand curve.

If we lower the price of a product, that will raise the quantity demanded of that product.

I didn't give price why don't I just hold off a little bit and wait a little bit so it's going to lower demand so in this scenario the whole curve will shift to the left at any given price point the quantity demanded will go down at any point of that curve, so the entire demand curve will be shifted to the left, so because of senario two demand was decreased.

And so if income goes up for this laptop, the demand will increase.

And in those cupcake economics videos, I showed that if the demand is pushing up against capacity.

So this demand curve will also have the same shape from the top left to the bottom right it satisfies the law of demand.

And if there's more cash in the banking system this guy right over here needs less

I'd rather have than just getting more of this thing right over here

Is it increasing by 2 or is it decreasing by 2?

I think we can get that down to 50 percent.

Actually, we're going to start with aggregate demand and then start talking about aggregate supply.

And it's just like we saw with demand

When x increases by 1, what happens to y? y is going down by 3.

As we showed in the cupcakes economics video, when you have a lot of unused capacity, it's everyone's incentive to try to sell that extra unit and they all lower prices.

If it's a little confusing to you right now, hopefully by the end of this video the difference between demand and quantity demanded will become a little bit clearer, and definitely over the next few videos.
