Those females are passing the PCBs in the fat of their own mother's milk into their offspring, and their offspring don't survive.

leads to an accumulation of PCBs that have gathered up from all parts of the world and ended up in these women.

And this is the trend in well being over that time, a small increase, but this is the trend in ecological footprint.

Lots of credit card debt, huge environmental footprints, and perhaps not coincidentally, our happiness levels flat lined over the same 50 years.

There are many science based analyses of this, but they all draw the same conclusion that we're living beyond our means.

Smaller space is going to make for smaller utilities save some more money there, but also a smaller footprint.

But, if we want to do something different shouldn't we also have to think differently.

Unfortunately, while this society is, without a doubt, the most prosperous and dynamic the world has ever created, it's got some major, major flaws.

And well, the debris primarily collects at these 5 rotating currents called the gyres, where it doesn't only directly kills sea life, but due to the absorption of PCBs and DDTs, also poisons the food chain.
