And so this leads to a process of valuation.

And this pre money valuation is really, really important.

Up rounds are when your pre money valuation of this round is more than the post money valuation of the last round.

So we'll give you a 15 million pre money valuation.

So anyway, we get a 15 million pre money valuation.

Valuation is just what you think it is, you know?

And of course the pre money valuation is just you just take the pre money valuation plus the amount of cash they're giving us.

So once again, they're going to do a pre money valuation.

Cultures discovered the key feature of valuation thousands of years ago.

So my 200,000 shares are worth 200,000 according to his valuation.

Because if you get too good of a valuation, in the next round it might be hard to get people who are going to give you a better valuation.

These same valuation systems are redeployed when we're valuing interactions with other people.

And that's important because Price to Earnings really is more of a relative valuation.

So often times, you actually don't want to get too good of a valuation.

So it's a very different scenario depending on what our pre money valuation is.

Now what does that result in their valuation, or in terms of their market cap?

So going back to what we were talking about, what is the post money valuation?

or actually it's the valuation either pre or post money would be 5 per share.

That's the value of our assets as I mean, the website, that's kind of an arbitrary valuation.

But the general idea is, hopefully, from that stage where the post money valuation was 10 million, right?

And this value, this is called a well in general, whenever you're valuing anything, it's called a valuation.

Pre money and then post money, you add the money in, and that's where you get the 6 million valuation.

And so after that offering, well, our pre money valuation was 30 million and our post money is now 40 million.

If what we had before is worth 5 million and there were a million shares initially, then the pre money valuation

We said before any of this stuff on the top existed, the pre money valuation of just our idea was 5 million.

So no matter what I do, between the pre money and the post money valuation, my per share value doesn't change any.

When we talk about valuation we're talking about the value of the assets, especially because we're not dealing with any debt right now.

Let's say that we wanted 10 million, but we were hoping for 20 million pre money valuation, because that's what the other guys got.

Okay, let me give you one example of the kinds of experiments that people do, and it's in the area of what you'd call valuation.

If you bid 12 so if b was up here and if c snuck in between the bid and the valuation, then you'd be paying too much.

And since we want to know what this is worth this is before we got any kind of money from investors this would be called a pre money valuation.

Because based on what this pre money valuation is it tells us how many shares, or what percentage of the company, our angel investor gets for investing his 5 million.

Now the the value of our share after the investment, and you can kind of call this the post money valuation or book value, is 5 billion. 8 billion minus 3 billion.

I don't think that ordinary people can make a good valuation of the risk, because even the specialists are in quite a bit of disagreement as to what the real risk is.
