There's kind of 2 main ways to approach this problem.

Atomicity refers to the notion that all parts of a transaction succeed or fail together.

You can do some selects, you can do updates, you can do inserts.

And my answer was you can either use transactions in the datastore, which I don't fully understand, because I'm new to a datastore, or you can use memcache, which is one of the 101 uses of memcache, it has this global lock.

And the idea is that as soon as a Bitcoin miner is able to construct a transaction block chain containing all these unrecorded transactions amp amp these proof of works it will broadcast the details of that chain out to all the nodes all the peers on that peer to peer network for Bitcoin

A syndicate is just a group of banks that work together to kind of handle a larger transaction than any one of them would be willing to handle by themselves.
