And it will change and disrupt the landscape of manufacturing, and most certainly our lives, our businesses and the lives of our children.

Why isn't there money in those things?

What we're after ... is a meaningful and sustainable life.

I mean, this is a 2005 Business Week cover.

We have an opportunity to empower the North Koreans with tools and technology, so that they can continue to accelerate these changes and so that we can continue to see and help them to create this internal pressures for change.

If we could do it, we would change the world.

The title of the message that I've been given is Transforming the walls into doors .

All you can do, like a farmer, is create the conditions under which they will begin to flourish.

You could divide up the money if people only wanted to.

This is mostly, to be honest with you, from the business sector innovation, creativity and change.

I prefer to believe that we are engaged in a fundamental reformation, a reformation like the religious Reformation of the 16th century.

There is an urgent need for social change.

Benign advice now, profoundly mistaken.

But then one author arrived, and he changed the game forever.

Is then sustainable development utopia?

So all of this will transform farmers.

On the one hand, people say,

In fact, he says, it's innovation that will keep the West ahead of the developing world, with the more sophisticated, innovative tasks being done in the developed world, and the less sophisticated, shall we say, drudge work being done in the developing world.

By the way, it happens about once every century.

But he started the country on a path of a positive cycle.

It's going to be amazing,

And it's a kind of energy that artists often know how to channel.

When I was 37, I helped start a small company.

I think we can change the work that we do.

Let's go back to that time, to this city.

Well, I'm not here today to lament about the situation, or wring my hands.

OK, so what are the enablers?

Business

Business.

lurking in the background of history.

Now we've had 50 years of warnings.

Because there are amazing opportunities available.

And we at TED are awed and inspired by it and we're not sure where it is going, but we believe it will be transformative and it'll be thanks to you, TEDxSydney community, and other communities around the world that I hope make it so.

They'll say, I think this company is not going to change.

They knew they were part of something larger, a nation that triumped over fascism and depression.

The revolution has brought about many changes.

The President's speech brought about a change in the American people.

The government must make fundamental changes.

So liberals speak for the weak and oppressed.

Networks and supply chains mean a step further.

I find that Americans see the fragility in changes.
