Japanese corporations are slashing their capital spending programs.

Whether people will continue to loan them money.

The government will provide interest free loans to firms that participate in the program.

So I asked the Minister over dinner,

EM Well, essentially,

They are just going alone! (Applause)

An investors' group is attempting a leveraged buy out of the firm.

It's worth 5 million.

It has to do with humans

What we used to believe for strategy is that you start any company with an operating plan and a financial model.

Howard Winklevoss founded a firm whose assets are in the hundreds of millions.

We had everything.

And of course the pre money valuation is just you just take the pre money valuation plus the amount of cash they're giving us.

Oh, my little friends, we've got a lot of plans to make.

Some badly made Python interpreters might raise an exception on this, but it should not.

Well, in the past, entrepreneurial education was about execution.

We essentially sold them at 10 a share.

And you hear the words scarce resources a lot when people talk about economics.

It's much less likely.

Local finance are bankrolling the industrial promotion program.

We abandoned the project because of a lack of funds.

Those other things are called non state actors.

Where do they get their water? Where do they get their shelter?

And we'll talk a little bit more about assets and enterprise value, and there's a little bit of a nuance there, but essentially the company itself.

We are squandering the most valuable resource we have on this continent the valuable resource of the imagination.

That was one of those turning points where I said, wow what am I doing here?

The capital for this plan was prepared.

I'm eager to be allowed to do more private sector investment.

Let's say out of this 10 million of assets, let's say that 9 million are operating assets.

CA What's the bottleneck preventing this stuff getting from scale?

I've been a huge fan of enterprise and entrepreneurship since 1993.

So the combined assets, if you believe that this is worth 5 million, is now 10 million, right?

This doesn't mean we shouldn't have any planning but it actually means what we need is planning before the plan and what that really mean is you need to figure out how to actually do some planning and then you get to write the business plan.

And then we have others working in these other related programs.

And economics is very interested in scarcity.

Resources.

The plan calls for a lot of money.

Money for the plan was lacking.

Owing to a shortage of funds, our project failed.

I'm talking about all companies.
