It's a story of nations, of ideologies, of territories, and of conflicts among them.

What are the things that make up a story?

You'll see these different kinds of minds.

(Laughter)

When you strip away detail, you tend to tell stories in terms of good versus evil, whether it's a story about your own life or a story about politics.

Now, a film.

We bring stories to the public.

(Laughter)

But dragonflies are not the only creatures that make the crossing.

And recently I've been much more interested in collecting stories from reality so, real stories.

There's a story in the sea, in the waters of the sea, in the sediments and the rocks of the sea floor.

The Dietrich book was an observation by her daughter it was a biography.

In video games this is almost always the main playable character and the one from whose perspective most of the story is seen.

So, stories have characters. Stories have concepts.

I love Broadway because it embraces the myriad stories of the human experience, and I have a story to tell.

And ultimately, it seems to me, that always works better than propaganda.

And his story was hushed as he assimilated.

You put all those together, and you've got your story to fill in that gap that makes you keep coming back.

And it's an object with fascinating stories and stories that are by no means over yet.

What am I doing with the architecture?

(Laughter)

And it's a story that has no discernible beginning, no foreseeable end.

So, I will go further, and I say,

A lot of the most interesting talks almost have the structure of the detective story.

It's actually part of a very long story, a great story, that began billions of years ago.

We all, everybody, has a story that they follow.

Usually, that is a kind of warning signal.

And that's what ultimately led me to speaking to you here at TEDTalk today.

In the simplest terms subjects act and objects are acted upon.

We're also a species of storytellers.

Johnny, you have a lot of fantasy.

So, my question are we alone?

There's stories that you may tell in a small group of people with some good wine.

It's an art of communication.

We tell our stories, and a person without a story does not exist.

It's the art of it.

(Laughter)

I remember hearing the story once.

But the result is always to have stories.

So, from that mythology, the upper city and lower city come.

No, you must really understand that.

So in life and in papercutting, everything is connected.

But, for me, the statistics only tell a very small part of the story.

In fact, most of them were taken by random tourists.

And it's why I believe in that very first hero we were talking about today, Superman.
