Good carotid.

My carotid artery had ruptured.

I had seven ruptures of my carotid artery.

And remember I call them arteries, because they're going away from the heart. And there are two arteries, so pulmonary arteries left and right pulmonary arteries.

Our arteries can clog.

And these are called coronary arteries.

And these bronchial arteries bring then, really wonderful oxygenated blood, right. These are the bronchial arteries.

You've got pulmonary arteries carrying blood, you've got bronchial arteries carrying blood and that blood mixes.

The arteries that they are talking about are the arteries that actually provide blood to the heart.

I'm going to cut some veins, arteries.

And these are called the bronchial arteries.

And so when people talk about arteries getting blocked or getting clogged, they're talking about the coronary arteries.

And on the right you actually see a carotid artery that was engineered.

It's bad for you. It clogs your arteries.

Oh, but you have other very juicy arteries.

So you have these arteries right over here, the red tubes. Those are arteries. and then the blue ones are veins.

Nerves are yellow, arteries are red, veins are blue.

We've got to clear the arteries of our lives.

He's got a beer belly in his coronary arteries.

This is one of the arteries that feed the heart, one of the main arteries, and you can see the narrowing here.

A doctor from Brazil said he had never seen anyone survive a carotid artery rupture.

It also dilates the coronary arteries, so it stops angina.

You could be attacked by white blood cells in the arteries.

He had a neck wound that severed his carotid artery, and that made him bleed to death.

They squeeze down and they jettison all the blood into those arteries.

I think she cut both arteries. I could hardly feel her pulse.

It's not so much psychological, it's vascular, and nicotine makes your arteries constrict.

And in the last video we saw that one of these clots can go downstream to some point where the arteries get narrow enough so that they actually block the arteries.

So even though you have the bronchial arteries bringing blood in, that would be right here, you know the bronchial arteries bringing blood in, a lot of that blood ends up going into that pulmonary circulation.

You can see how there are definetely some parallels between how the veins and arteries are set up.

It was one of the main arteries which conveyed the traffic of the City to the north and west.

But before I do that, let's just make sure that we understand the mechanism of how arteries get blocked.

From the body... to the right auricle... to the right ventricle... and out the pulmonary arteries to the lungs.

And the same region of the heart and blood vessels in someone with non compliant arteries would look like this.

Those are not the arteries that people are talking about getting clogged, when people talk about heart disease or heart attacks.

So you've got a couple of arteries that are branching off and these are also part of the systemic circulation systemic circulation.

And arteries or anytime I mention the word artery, I want you to think about the blood going away from the heart.

They would be very careful to avoid any major arteries... so that the victim would stay alive for as long as possible.

While the heart is not moving the surgeon can reroute blood vessels, the part of the heart muscles where clogged arteries are restricting the flow.
