Why do their rabbis and scholars not forbid them to utter sinful words or to consume what is unlawful? Their actions are indeed vile.

But as for he who feared the position of his Lord and prevented the soul from unlawful inclination,

Why do the masters and the rabbis not forbid them to utter sin, and consume the unlawful? Evil is the thing they have been working.

Why is it that their scholars and jurists do not forbid them from sinful utterances and devouring unlawful earnings? Indeed they have been contriving evil.

Do not say, asserting falsely with your tongues, This is lawful, and that is unlawful, attributing lies to Allah. Indeed those who attribute lies to Allah will not be felicitous.

God makes unlawful interest devoid of all blessings and causes charity to increase. God does not love sinful unbelievers.

O prophet! why makest thou unlawful that which Allah hath made lawful Unto thee, seeking the good will of thy wives! And Allah is Forgiving, Merciful.

Prophet, in seeking the pleasure of your wives, why do you make unlawful that which God has made lawful. God is All forgiving and All merciful.

Allah wishes to make clear (what is lawful and what is unlawful) to you, and to show you the ways of those before you, and accept your repentance, and Allah is All Knower, All Wise.

And do not utter falsehoods by letting your tongues declare This is lawful and That is unlawful, thus fabricating lies against Allah. Surely those who fabricate lies against Allah will never prosper.

And do not say about what your tongues assert of untruth, This is lawful and this is unlawful, to invent falsehood about Allah. Indeed, those who invent falsehood about Allah will not succeed.

And do not say of falsehood asserted by your tongues, This is lawful, and this is unlawful, in order to invent lies and attribute them to God. Those who invent lies and attribute them to God will not succeed.

Allah wants to make clear to you the lawful from the unlawful and guide you to the good practices of those before you and to accept your repentance. And Allah is Knowing and Wise.

Those who do not believe in Allah and the Last Day even though they were given the scriptures, and who do not hold as unlawful that which Allah and His Messenger have declared to be unlawful, and who do not follow the true religion fight against them until they pay tribute out of their hand and are utterly subdued.

And come not near to the unlawful sexual intercourse. Verily, it is a Fahishah i.e. anything that transgresses its limits (a great sin) , and an evil way (that leads one to Hell unless Allah forgives him).

O ye who believe! Fulfil your indentures. The beast of cattle is made lawful unto you (for food) except that which is announced unto you (herein), game being unlawful when ye are on the pilgrimage. Lo! Allah ordaineth that which pleaseth Him.
