They begrudged them only because they believed in God the Almighty, the Praiseworthy.

for they were guided to speak the noblest words and follow the praiseworthy path.

O mankind! ye are needers Unto Allah, and Allah! He is the Selfsufficient, the Praiseworthy

People, you are always in need of God and God is Self sufficient and Praiseworthy.

Moses said Were you to disbelieve you and all those who live on earth Allah is still Self Sufficient, Innately Praiseworthy.
