I'll write it out again because I want to make sure we see clearly the difference between someone with compliant blood vessels and someone with non compliant vessels.

Blood flows through blood vessels.

It's gonna be going initially through a giant vessel.

And the capsules in her blood stream.

We can do this because tumor blood vessels are unlike normal, healthy vessels we see in other places of the body they're abnormal, they're very poorly constructed, and because of that, they're highly vulnerable to treatments that target them.

Blood runs in the veins.

You know, where did these things come from?

Then you start to take a look at adult life.

Can't seem to find a vein.

And this turns out to be one of our most important defense mechanisms against cancer.

And this is an X ray showing you the patent, functional blood vessel.

Shut your mouth!

Because some of that pressure energy got taken away and stored as elastic energy.

Which, in fact, is not a vein at all, but the crustaceans intestinal tract.

like red blood cells.

And this outer layer, this is the vasculature, which is incredible, around a human brain.

Thrombosis is the process of a thrombus forming.

End to end, that would form a line that would circle the earth twice.

There were blood vessels left.

A needle needs to go right in, so look for the most upright vein.

So, all these guys over here, these are the true capillaries.

So let's zoom in on one of them....Maybe we can zoom in right over here, that part of the artery.

All the sudden you could have these clotting factors form a clot right over here right at the actual plaque.

But there was something left.

Retract the duct a little more laterally.

In this example here, it's an artery.

The walls are covered with villi where nutrient absorption takes place.

The revolution is called angiogenesis, and it's based on the process that our bodies use to grow blood vessels.

The heart is taking a quick breather to refill.

Let's give numbers so we can keep all this straight. This person might have a blood pressure of 160 and the person who is happy with compliant vessels might have a blood pressure of 120.

And the bottom curve is the weight of a normal mouse.

And in these situations, angiogenesis is out of balance.

There are other situations where we start beneath the baseline, and we need to grow more blood vessels, just to get back to normal levels for example, after an injury and the body can do that too, but only to that normal level, that set point.

And the Arotic valve is going to be what divides the left ventricle from this giant vessel that we talked about earlier.

And so specifically you might hear about a coronary artery, or a coronary vein, but together you can call them coronary blood vessels.

And yet, look at the number of prescriptions that are being sold.

Oh, but you have other very juicy arteries.

And the processes that cause this are things like arteriosclerosis for the large vessels or arteriolosclerosis for the small vessels.

Some of you may remember that.

So we thought the patient might actually want to know the context as well.

One individual with very compliant blood vessels and that person as a result of the fact that they are compliant is going to be very happy.
